Chinese|English“Dark Running Group” public welfare activity organized by Zhongbo Group came as promised. Together with DIALOGUE IN THE DARK (CHENGDU), the event was organized in the form of "one-to-one accompanying runners", completing about 7 kilometers of running in Shiling Qinglong Lake Wetland Park, Chengdu. Participants consisted of volunteers and visually impaired people. Mutual help and care among peers became the winter sunshine that warmed each other.
During the run, each visually impaired person was accompanied by three volunteers. One of the volunteers and the blind person's hand were connected by a 30-centimeter "8" shaped running rope, guiding the direction and acting as the eyes of the visually impaired person, while the other two runners were by the side of the blind runner to protect their safety. A running rope connects them together physically and mentally. The volunteers talked with the visually impaired people enthusiastically and kept running on the picturesque Qinglong Lake track. Although the visually impaired couldn't see the picture, volunteers talked about the picture through words so that they could really feel the beautiful natural scenery.
Time passed quickly. Participants were overwhelmed with emotions. Dai Daozhong, a visually impaired person, talked about his feeling with running, he said: “I participated in this event, enjoying the changes and happinessthat running has brought to my body and my heart, and also thanking so many volunteers for coming. ”
