Zhangjiakou - Tangshan railway

The planned total length of Zhangjiakou - Tangshan railway is 528 kilometers, with a total investment of 400.01 billion yuan. The project was fully started on March 21,2010 and is planned to last 4 and a half years. There are 17 stations, 174 bridges,with a total of 137 kilometers, 85 tunnels with a total of 230 kilometers, bridge to tunnel ratio of 65%. Zhangjiakou - Tangshan railway is the first phase of China's third energy channel (Ordos-Tangshan Caofeidian Port, with a total length of about 1000 kilometers). The design speed is 120 kilometers from Zhangjiakou to Chengde and 160 kilometers from Chengde to Tangshan, mainly for freight and passenger transport.
