Against the backdrop of China-Africa friendly cooperation, Yangjin Zhuoma, Chairwoman of Zhongbo Construction Group, paid a visit to Arlindo Do Rosario, Cape Verde's Ambassador to China. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the two sides held in-depth strategic discussions on comprehensively deepening China-Cape Verde cooperation under the Belt and Road framework, with particular focus on jointly exploring the vast potential in Cape Verde's green energy and blue economy sectors.

Strategic Dialogue: Focusing on Blue Economy and Green Transition

Cape Verde is strategically located along the Atlantic coast of West Africa, boasting an exclusive maritime economic zone of 734,300 square kilometers and serving as a vital gateway hub in the region. Leveraging its unique geographical advantages, Cape Verde has vigorously developed its port economy, renewable energy, and tourism sectors in recent years, emerging as a rising hotspot for global blue economy development. The Ambassador stated: "The African Union has formulated the Africa Integrated Maritime Strategy 2050, and the Cape Verdean government has correspondingly introduced plans to build a blue economy system centered on marine resource development, ecological protection, and clean energy. We look forward to deepening cooperation with Chinese enterprises to jointly explore investment opportunities in marine industries, solar energy, wind power, and related fields."

Chairwoman Yangjin Zhuoma emphasized: "Zhongbo Group has always prioritized technological innovation and sustainable development as our core principles. We stand ready to fully leverage our professional expertise in clean energy and other fields to provide customized solutions for Cape Verde, supporting the nation in achieving its green transition goals."

Deepening China-Africa Cooperation: Building Bridges Between China and Cape Verde

Since China and Cape Verde signed the Belt and Road cooperation agreement, bilateral economic and trade collaboration has continued to deepen. As a strategic hub connecting Europe, Africa, and South America, Cape Verde has become an important pivot point along the Maritime Silk Road. Ambassador Arlindo Do Rosario expressed hopes for more Chinese enterprises to enter Cape Verde and share in the development opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative. He particularly anticipates that established Chinese companies like Zhongbo Group can contribute to Cape Verde's socioeconomic development through port infrastructure construction, educational cooperation programs, and medical assistance projects.

Zhongbo Construction Group has long been actively responding to national initiatives, striving to be a pioneering force in Belt and Road construction. The Group consistently adheres to its development philosophy of "going global and benefiting livelihoods," having implemented various livelihood projects across multiple African countries in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. This visit by the Chairwoman to Cape Verde's Ambassador to China further enriches the Group's "China-Africa cooperation" portfolio. Through technology empowerment and localized operations, the Group aims to enhance Cape Verde's self-development capabilities, achieving the sustainable development goal of "teaching people to fish rather than giving them fish."

"When all join their efforts, nothing is invincible; when all contribute their wisdom, nothing is unachievable." The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation last year emphasized taking "win-win cooperation and common development" as the core concept to advance China-Africa cooperation to a higher level. Facing the challenges of global climate change and resource constraints, Zhongbo Construction Group is willing to work with Cape Verde to leverage the country's geographical and resource advantages, promote the Group's business layout in Cape Verde, create local employment opportunities, cultivate new industrial momentum, open new pathways for Chinese enterprises to expand into West African markets, and inject vigorous energy into the Belt and Road Initiative and the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future.
