Recently, Yangjin Zhuoma, Chairperson of Zhongbo Group, paid a visit to Dr. Song Jiawei, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to China. The dialogue was conducted in a friendly and pragmatic atmosphere. Based on the long-standing "ironclad" partnership between China and Cambodia, the two sides had in-depth exchanges of views on mutually concerned cooperation areas such as new energy and smart agriculture, laying a solid foundation for deepening mutual benefit and win-win results in the future.

During the talks, Chairperson Yangjin Zhuoma spoke highly of the profound friendship between China and Cambodia, which was fostered by the older generation of leaders and has grown more brilliant through the trials of time. She emphasized that China-Cambodia relations are a model of equality and sincere mutual assistance between nations, and this deep-rooted friendship provides a solid political guarantee and development space for cooperation between enterprises of the two countries. Zhongbo Group has always closely followed Cambodia's vigorous development, sincerely appreciated the economic and social achievements made by Cambodia under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, and regards Cambodia as an important strategic partner of the Group in Southeast Asia.

Ambassador Song Jiawei reviewed the glorious history of friendly exchanges between the two countries. She noted that the Cambodia-China friendship, "stronger than gold," is a precious asset shared by the two peoples. The Ambassador specifically mentioned the successful co-organized "Year of Cultural and People-to-People Exchange" initiative, describing it as a vivid practice to promote mutual understanding between the peoples and mutual learning between civilizations, which has effectively enhanced mutual understanding and trust. Under the grand framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields has continued to deepen, with outcomes benefiting the people of both nations. The De Chong Funan Canal project, “援建开工” (inaugurated and commenced) by China in August last year, is an epoch-making major infrastructure project that will significantly improve Cambodia's transportation and logistics system, unlock regional economic potential, bring unprecedented development opportunities to Cambodia, and directly benefit millions of people. The Cambodian government warmly welcomes strong and reputable Chinese enterprises like Zhongbo Group to invest and operate in Cambodia, participate in the country's development process, and share in the dividends of growth.

Focus on the Future, Co-Draw the Blueprint

With a forward-looking strategic vision, the two sides engaged in constructive discussions on potential cooperation opportunities during this meeting, expressed strong willingness to collaborate in multiple key areas, and explored possible future cooperation directions.

New Energy Investment and Sustainable Development: Both sides highly recognized the importance of clean energy for Cambodia's green transition and energy security. Zhongbo Group expressed its interest in leveraging its rich experience and technological advantages in the new energy sector to explore the development of renewable energy projects such as solar and wind power in Cambodia, helping the country build a cleaner and more efficient energy future.

Modern Agriculture Development and Value Chain Enhancement: Focusing on Cambodia's abundant agricultural resources and huge development potential, the two sides explored the possibilities of cooperation in smart agricultural technology applications, deep processing of agricultural products, supply chain optimization, and market expansion. The aim is to enhance Cambodia's agricultural modernization level and international competitiveness, and safeguard regional food security.

Profound Significance, Unlocking a New Chapter

The friendly exchanges between Chairperson Yangjin Zhuoma and Ambassador Song Jiawei have deepened Zhongbo Group's understanding of Cambodia's investment environment and development opportunities, while also strengthening the Group's confidence in deepening its presence in Cambodia. Cherishing the profound traditional friendship between China and Cambodia, Zhongbo Group will actively respond to the call for high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, organically integrate its advanced technologies and management experience in relevant fields with Cambodia's development needs, and actively explore mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation models.

This meeting demonstrates Zhongbo Group’s firm commitment to actively participating in the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between China and Cambodia. It is not only a high-level interaction to enhance mutual understanding and friendship but also a significant manifestation of Zhongbo Group’s active implementation of the "Going Global" strategy and fulfillment of its international corporate responsibilities. The meeting marks a new and more forward-looking phase in Zhongbo Group’s strategic cooperation in Southeast Asia, particularly with Cambodia. Taking this meeting as an opportunity, the Group will further strengthen communication with all sectors in Cambodia, advance practical research on potential cooperation projects, and strive to translate the shared vision into fruitful outcomes benefiting the two peoples at an early date, contributing "Zhongbo’s strength" to building a closer China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
