The Hohhot-Jungar-Ordos Railway is an important railway corridor in the western part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as specified in the National Mid- and Long-Term Railway Network Plan. It is also a high-capacity passenger and freight transportation corridor located within Hohhot City and Ordos City of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Starting from Qianzhubao Railway Station near the Hohhot Railway Hub in the east, it passes through Tumote Left Banner and Tuoketuo County of Hohhot City, crosses the Yellow River, and reaches Dongsheng East Railway Station in Dongsheng District of Ordos City via Zhunge'er Banner of Ordos City. The total length of the railway line is 245 kilometers, with a total investment of 18.8 billion yuan, of which 138 kilometers are within Ordos City, with an investment of 8 billion yuan.
